Ladies and gentlemen, The party is finally over. It may have taken over 12 months after it was passed into law, but the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act (RA10586) will now be officially implemented starting June 1 and penalize anyone caught driving under the influence with imprisonment, as well as fines of up to 500,000 pesos. But as awesome as it is, the sobering reality here is that it could end up doing more damage than good.
