Spyder recently launched the newest series of graphics for the Grid helmet, the Classic style. While the graphics design obviously targets the scooteristas, especially with classic-looking scooters like Vespas and Stellas, hence the 2211 as a launchpad, the grid’s quarter-shell design actually fits any motorbike, with casual-demeanor riders in mind. The ABS composite shell provides the rider the safety he/she needs while still looking gorgeous with the lid. The scratch-resistant no-warp lens ensures optimum visibility against glares while its quick release system allows the rider a quick lens change to match the ambience; chrome or tinted for the day touring, clear for night riding. Other models of the Grid further the convenience by having dual-lens, a clear outer lens, and a retractable dark lens that hides or pops with a flick of a switch. Strategically-placed aero-vents cool the rider’s head especially during a scorching day ride. The new Grid Classic’s graphics is a collage of the different aspect of the classic scooter lifestyle artfully integrated to the shell of the helmet. The Grid now comes in three color variations: black & white, sepia and full graphics.
2211 has been at the forefront of the classic scooter scene, they have been around. And 2211 was the perfect place to launch the Grid Classic style helmet. The night officially started when the VCoP of the Vespa Club of the Philippines started pouring in. Several other clubs followed immediately such as the Hayate Club of the Philippines, The Like Club, Euroscoot,and Alamat Crewsers. The traffic-laden Friday night was filled with the smooth and calming voice of the musical duo Dindo and Windel, while the riders tuned in/chatted the night away, with beer in one hand courtesy of 2211, and food in the other courtesy of Leo Soto. Potato corner gave our cholesterols some boost with their presence.
Sporadic raffle prizes of Spyder and Overdose products were given away through the night culminating in two lucky winners of a Tyro and a Grid helmet. Still, non-winners get 22% off for helmet buyers during the event, and an 11% off until November 7.
