8th Inside Racing Grand Prix

The Legendary Race

The much-awaited Inside Racing Grand Prix was once again held last November 14-16 in the Carmona Racing Circuit. Now in its 8^th year, the prestigious racing event gets bigger and better each year as races gets more exciting not to mention tons of freebies from the sponsors and huge discounts on riding gears from Motoworld and Spyder, and also motorcycle parts and accessories. FDR was the official tire of the 8^th Inside Racing Grand Prix along with other sponsors such as Shell Advance, Castrol Power 1, Top 1 Motor Oils, Phoenix Cyclomax, Gulf Pride 4T, Denso Spark Plugs, NGK Spark Plugs, Motoworld, JVT Performance Parts, Zebra Helmets and MDAP. Aside from the Top 3 Podium Finishers, special awards were given to participants each race such as the Zebra Pole Position Award, Motoworld Fastest Lap Award, JVT Fastest Privateer Award, and the MDAP Manufacturer Award. The race was sanctioned by the Underbone and Scooter Racing Association (USRA).

The Legendary Event

Racing fans and enthusiasts invaded the Carmona Racing Circuit even lining up as early as 4 AM and enduring up to four hours in line as the gates opened at 8 AM. With an entry fee of just 50 pesos, early birds were treated with Inside Racing goodies like magazine issues, calendars, and more. Food tents were also available inside so fans didn’t have to worry about missing some racing action.

The event is not just a competition between manufacturers, teams and riders, but it also demonstrates camaraderie not just among teammates but also among competitors and different nationalities as foreign riders were also present and participated in the races. IRGP also showcases the talent and dedication of the Filipino riders to the sport and also to further promote Philippine motorcycle racing.
